About Chak Au
區澤光 - 簡介
Chak Au is a proud immigrant from Hong Kong who has called Canada home for 37 years. A long-time resident of the City of Richmond, he has served the community with distinction for 26 years—as a family therapist, Richmond School Trustee, and City Councillor. He fondly remembers his first Canadian home in Marpole, where he rented a basement suite near West 68th Avenue and Granville Street.
Chak advocates for fiscal responsibility, accountable government, and support for free enterprise and hard work. He is a firm believer in Canadian principles—democracy, freedom, and the rule of law.
Chak has championed international trade, local economic growth, and public safety throughout his career. He has consistently opposed drug liberalization and remains committed to prevention, education, and recovery-focused policies.
As the Member of Parliament for Richmond Centre–Marpole, Chak brings deep local roots and a principled voice to protect our values and ensure a safe, prosperous future for all.
